Ab September 2025: The Green Room an neuem Standort in Köln
Starting in September 2025: TGR is at a new location in Cologne
We are delighted to announce that TGR The Green Room will be moving to its new home in the Alte Feuerwache in Cologne's Agnesviertel district in fall 2025.
To kick off this new phase, we are launching a cooperation project with the Alte Feuerwache Cologne that reflects our core mission: providing accessible, confidential, and needs-based psychological support for people working in the arts and culture sector.
What people are saying…
“The GreenHaven Residency Program makes a fundamental contribution to the protection of human rights and artistic freedom. It raises our awareness of the situation of refugee and dissident artists and their communities.”
– Roman Luckscheiter, Secretary General of the German Commission for UNESCO
“The Green Room was founded a year ago in Cologne and creates opportunities for performing artists to raise awareness of various aspects of their artistic work, and to strengthen performance. The experts working at the center use meditative, body-related, and performance-medicine methods… Experienced and renowned teachers also work through one-to-one offers. Individual counseling is offered live or online. For those interested in the offering, but living outside the region, group workshops are also offered on weekends.”
– DOV (German Association of Orchestras) Magazine
"Being a professional performing artist is a wonderful way to spend one’s life, but it‘s also not easy”, says O’Donnell. “You have to perform at the highest levels all the time, often without appropriate financial compensation." What many artists sorely miss, she said, was preventive measures as well as rehabilitative supports.
That's exactly where The Green Room places its offers. Here, creative artists are helped in a variety of ways... The ambience is airy and liberating; those who enter can first enjoy a deep breath.“
– Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger
“Fantastic Atmosphere, and a great place to not only learn valuable skills, but also meet charismatic people. Great!”
– Musician
“…The initiative is called "The Green Room," a place where artistic, psychosocial, and physical practices combine. Here, artists, students of artistic studies, and amateurs with an interest in artistic development, orientate themselves and continue their education, free from performance pressures and the stresses of the stage. The wide range of psychosocial and somatic methods on offer take place in the form of group classes, confidential individual counseling and coaching. Each instructor, coach, mentor, or counselor at the center combines health-related expertise in various psychosocial and/or somatic methods with artistic activity on a highly qualified level and against a background of many years of professional practice.”
– Pianist Magazine
“Against the backdrop of current events, TGR is an oasis, a healing place. A huge thank you for your support and help.”
– Singer
