Tamara Lukasheva - Solo Concert: “Vdoma”
An extraordinary musical performance will take place on Friday, June 7th:
The winner of the 2021 WDR Jazz Prize, Tamara Lukasheva, will be performing at TGR The Green Room in Cologne-Nippes at 20:00.
The programme is entitled ''Vdoma'', from the Ukrainian word for "Home" and has several meanings. The music world has always been a home for Tamara, a place of secrecy, a safe space where one can truly be oneself, just as one is, without masks: honest and serene.
The solo programme, which consists of Ukrainian and German poetry set to music as well as her own interpretations of famous jazz standards, gives this home a new dimension of being for the musician. She immerses herself in the mysterious world of poetry and sound, floats in the air and transports the audience into a state of timelessness.
We are delighted to be able to present this musical treat to you and hope that you will be captivated by the enthusiasm! Lukasheva's impressive three-octave voice and her versatile playing on the grand piano are the perfect complement to her creative ideas. The critics are enthusiastic about her music: "Impressive, pure and expressive", says jazz musician Django Bates. And Jazz Tokyo writes: "Overwhelming!".
TGR The Green Room cordially invites you to be liberated and inspired by the music of Tamara Lukasheva and to enjoy the concert free of charge. Donations are of course also welcome. Join us for an unforgettable evening of jazz and creativity!
