IR-Rationality with Marianna Glynska
The performance piece “IR-Rationality” dwells on the turbulent events going on in Ukraine and impacting the entire world. The world is changing and who knows if it will ever be the same. Currently, we’ve reached the point of total IR-rationality (or is it a different type of rationality?)
Personal experiencing of the events, finding oneself between known and unknown, stability and instability, often on the edge, starting everything anew, trying to let things go….
What is it like to stay attached to the past and planned future that is unlikely to happen, living by way of memories, escaping into nostalgia, looking for something that is not there….
What is it like to wander around, blind, with eyes wide-shut, wide-open, hearing, staying deaf, getting overemotional or becoming emotionally numb, with no understanding or wisdom to attain, connecting and disconnecting with oneself, others, everything around, shouting out loud and keeping silent… The performance invites you to reflect on it on your own and will take you on a journey of 5 states: Time, Losing Control, Silence, On the Edge, New Beginning…
