OPEN STAGE & Talk with Andriy May
Join us on May 19th for an OPEN STAGE (18:00) followed by a talk with internationally renowned theater director Andriy May (7:00 p.m.) about his experiences as an actor and director who founded the Mayerhold Center in Cherson and the Theater Festival Lutyj/Fevral. Since March 2022, Andriy May has been based in Cologne. During this time he has been involved in directing a staged reading at the Schauspiel Köln, with texts of eight Ukrainian dramatists telling about their lives during the Russian invasions of Ukraine since 2014.
With an exhibit of Ukrainian artist Viacheslav Rohovyi (Strannik), a founder of the Museum Of Modern Art in Krivoy Rog, whose artworks are present in UNESCO Headquarters Paris, and “The Ukrainian House” at the Cabinet of Ministers in Kiev.
