Slava Tyrnavskii

Slava Tyrnavskii is a brilliant young pianist, a recent graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, residing in Germany because of his opposition to the war.

He will present his German premiere performance in The Green Room on February 25th at 19:00.

Sergei Karev - Visual Artist

Sergei Karev was born in Leningrad, USSR. In 2006, he graduated from Saint Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy.  Karev's work belongs to numerous collections, including The State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Erarta museum ( St. Petersburg, Russia), Municipality of Assens (Denemark), Streetart museum (Russia),  Nautilus Lanzarote (Canarian Islands). He has taken part in art exhibitions since 2005.

Karev lived and worked in St.Petersburg, Russia, until, after taking part in anti-war protests in February and March 2022, he took the decision to leave the county. Now he is based in Leipzig, Germany.

Karev's basic medium is steel. His metal sculptures grow out of natural forms merged with cultural reflections and human experiences. It can be described as a kind of sculptural dreaming: exploring the natural in its cultural reflections and the social in the shape of the sensual.
