Duo “Unconventional”: Justyna Motylska and Alexandra Hanke

Duo “Unconventional”

Justyna and Alexandra have been performing for years in Poland, in Germany and also in Ukraine. Their program is called 'unconventional' and consists of finely arranged well-known standards and 'original music' - all in English.

Justyna is the singer

 She graduated from the Jazz Department in the Academy of Music in Katowice/PL. As a soloist she performed at many famous festivals in Poland such as Silesian Jazzmeeting in Rybnik, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, Jazzfestival Krakow.

Her voice can be heard on at least 30 albums/CDs as a soloist as well as accompanying. She has been teaching at the Krakow Theatre Academy for 16 years.

Alexandra is the pianist

Born in Kyiv, she also graduated from the Jazz Department of the Music Academy in Katowice/PL. She has been living in Germany for 9 years and last year she released her CD 'Hanke Plays Hanke' with her own compositions. She is active as a solo pianist, but also played in 2022 in Circus Roncalli.
