Pilates
The Pilates method, as a tranquil and effective whole-body workout, trains body awareness through a concentrated, controlled and flowing execution of movement sequences. Pilates supports performing artists in training a sensitive body awareness and an economical posture that protects the spine and joints while performing their work. Gentle strengthening of muscles close to the spine and mobilization of the spine and joints improve core strength and flexibility. The Pilates method increases awareness of body alignment, therefore serves as a preventative measure against injury by correcting muscular imbalances and postural weaknesses, and improves the ability to relax. The focus is on the precision of movement execution.
