STRASSENLAND

The Green Room will be a guest at the street fair STRASSENLAND on June 19th between 11:00 - 20:00.

We will have our own stage, where several of our Ukrainian “Artists-in-Residence” can be seen and heard. On the program are diverse music offerings ranging from folk - classical - jazz - chanson - contemporary, dance performances, and readings from actors.

The stellar jazz duo Laura Marti (singer) and Nataliya Lebedeva (piano) can be heard on STRASSENLAND’s main stage at 18:00.

About STRASSENLAND:

"Live your City": the motto of the second edition of STRASSENLAND on June 19, 2022 in Cologne.

At the first event in 2019, more than 100,000 visitors were drawn to the North-South Drive in the center of Cologne to look for answers for a more livable future, to be inspired by creative ideas, and simply to try out new approaches for themselves.

EXCHANGE - EXPERIENCE - PARTICIPATE

This year, STRASSENLAND will again be a very special experience for inquisitive guests. The main focus will be on the topics of nutrition, urban development, city logistics, creative industries and urban society. STRASSENLAND is a platform where resourceful minds, creative start-ups, innovative companies, administrations and committed citizens show what a sustainable, urban future for their city looks like to them. Exchange and discussion are expressly encouraged.

The event area is divided into five different experience areas and extends over about 1.5 kilometers on the otherwise busy main road. STRASSENLAND gives the participating actors a stage to reach and connect people, - thus rediscovering street space and recognizing potential opportunities for change. We want to offer space to get to know the multifaceted richness and the potpourri of civic initiatives and participatory design activities and to be inspired, - to create awareness, to want change and to demand space, - to move, to encourage initiative, and to generate fun in civically motivated change. STRASSENLAND offers free access to actively experience new ideas, visions, and offerings.
